The film reconstructs the escalating tensions between neighbors, culminating in the tragic shooting death of Ajike “AJ” Owens, a mother of four. The chilling events depicted sparked a reckoning across the country about controversial state laws like “Stand Your Ground,” which can allow individuals to use deadly force if they feel their life is in danger.
