The VRA: What Now?
StanfordVotes, in collaboration with the MLK Institute, is hosting a three-part series on the historical, contemporary, and prospective aspects of the Voting Rights Act (VRA). By contextualizing the Voting Rights Act in its historical roots, reflecting on the impact of current challenges to the VRA such as the Supreme Court decision in Callais, and exploring what comes next through the eyes of advocates and young organizers, we hope to inspire rigorous, productive discourse about what it means to be civically engaged and why it matters in today’s world.
