Biography
Gal Dor is a researcher, supporting the Rock Center’s needs in developing projects and programs, with a particular focus on shareholder activism, the board’s oversight responsibilities and the ever-changing landscape of directors’ liabilities. She is also researching topics in securities litigation and class actions settlements.
Prior to joining the Rock Center, Gal was a litigation attorney at Latham & Watkins, LLP, and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, specializing in securities litigation and derivative suits. Gal received her B.A. and M.A. in Social Psychology and her law degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and is licensed to practice law in Israel, British Columbia, and California. She pursued a master’s in law degree from the University of Toronto, and published three papers related to her work on the role the Israeli Supreme Court of Justice plays in Israeli society.
