Biography
Gregg Webb is a legal executive and advisor helping companies solve hard problems and navigate heavily regulated industries. Most recently, he served as Head of Corporate, Litigation, IP, and Employment, Legal at Grammarly, an AI-driven communications software company.
Gregg previously led strategic litigation matters for Lyft, handling many of the company’s highest profile and most sensitive disputes, including its first coordinated mass tort litigation and nationwide product regulatory and safety issues. In over a decade in law firm practice, Gregg served as leadership counsel and on national coordinating counsel teams representing global companies in multidistrict (“MDL”) and other complex litigation.
Gregg has a strong interest in MDL and other forms of coordinated litigation. Such matters are among the most challenging and serious legal risks that any company can face. As a matter of public policy, they compose a significant portion of federal and state court dockets, raising major administrative and resource challenges for courts and parties alike. As a Fellow at Stanford’s Deborah L. Rhode Center on the Legal Profession, Gregg’s work focuses on developing tools and materials to increase access to justice and improve the multidistrict litigation experience for courts, practitioners, and parties.
Gregg received a JD from Stanford Law School and a BA from Princeton University, graduating summa cum laude and with the highest academic standing in the Department of Politics.
