Ilona Turner

Biography
Ilona Turner is a mediator and arbitrator based in Oakland. She also conducts impartial workplace and Title IX investigations. Her website is www.TurnerADR.com.
Ilona was the legal director for the Transgender Law Center from 2012 to 2017. Prior to that she was a staff attorney at the National Center for Lesbian Rights and an associate at the labor law firm of Cohen, Weiss and Simon in New York. Before law school she worked for the California State Assembly and as a lobbyist for Equality California.
Ilona received her J.D. in 2006 from U.C. Berkeley, where she was managing editor of the California Law Review, and received her B.A. in 2000 from U.C. Santa Cruz. She has authored numerous articles and book chapters on sex discrimination and LGBTQ legal issues and has taught as a lecturer at U.C. Berkeley.
