Biography
Kevin Lo (SLS JD ’11) advises law students and alumni interested in careers in international law, human rights, and immigration.
Prior to returning to Stanford Law, Kevin was a Senior Staff Attorney with the Asian Law Caucus, where he represented immigrants with criminal convictions in removal proceedings, litigated cases challenging the detention and deportation of Southeast Asian refugees, and provided general immigration services to San Francisco’s Chinatown and other immigrant communities.
Before ALC, Kevin led legal and media campaigns against corporations and governments profiting off counter-terrorism human rights abuses as a corporate social responsibility advocate with Reprieve in London, and served as the Director of Advocacy and Legal Services for the Organization for Refuge, Asylum & Migration, assisting LGBTQ asylum seekers and refugees in South Africa and Turkey. Fresh out of law school, Kevin was a Global Organizing Fellow for the United Auto Workers, supporting labor solidarity campaigns in Southeast Asia and the American South.
Kevin received his bachelor’s degrees from UC Berkeley and speaks Cantonese Chinese.
