Biography
Lisa Edwards is a seasoned finance and technology executive with deep experience in scaling growth companies, go-to-market, cybersecurity and digital transformation.
Her career includes senior leadership and C-suite roles at Fortune 100 companies (Visa, Salesforce) and at the leading software company for Governance Risk and Compliance (Diligent). Her latest operating role was as President and COO of Diligent Corporation and Executive Chair of the Diligent Institute with responsibility for commercial growth and performance, including global sales, professional services, marketing, partnerships, customer success, acquisitions and support.
Lisa joined Diligent from Salesforce where she was most recently EVP of Strategic Business Operations (COO) reporting to the co-CEO, managing global sales/GTM strategy, Industry verticals, IT, the Office of Innovation, Futures Lab, partnerships, ISVs (including 2,000 ISV relationships), enablement and other functions. Prior to this she was a senior finance leader, running Global Corporate Services (GCS) and leading back office transformation. She came to Salesforce from Visa, Inc., where she led global strategic partnerships as SVP/Head of Global Strategic Alliances and Global IP Strategy, and earlier served in an operations role as Head of Global Corporate Services (finance operations).
Lisa started her career as a strategy consultant with Bain & Company. She moved on to become a repeat entrepreneur, serving as CEO of KnowledgeX, a database startup that she led in a sale to IBM. She then co-founded Valubond, a SaaS fixed income exchange and subscription service, serving as President, COO, and CEO of the ATS (Alternative Trading System) prior to the company’s acquisition by Knight Capital.
Lisa received a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In 2024 she received an MS in Cybersecurity from NYU Tandon. She serves on the Board of Directors of Colgate-Palmolive Company (NYSE: CL), where she is a member of the audit and finance committees, as well as the Boards of Qualtrics (audit), LogicMonitor (audit), and Zededa (Chair, Comp) and serves as an advisor to SmithPoint Capital. She is a member of The Council on Foreign Relations.
