Biography
Marie Oh Huber is an independent public company director and former Chief Legal Officer at eBay Inc. (NASDAQ: EBAY) and Agilent Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: A). With extensive experience as a C-suite executive in global Fortune 500 companies across technology, e-commerce, payments, and life sciences, she is known for her strategic, collaborative leadership. Marie’s experience includes M&A, governance, international, regulatory, public policy, enterprise risk, and crisis management. In additional to building global legal teams, she also led shared services in government affairs, public policy, communications, privacy, compliance, and regulatory functions.
Marie served as SVP and Chief Legal Officer at eBay from 2015 to 2024, and as SVP and General Counsel at Agilent Technologies from 2009 to 2015. She has also held leadership roles at Hewlett-Packard, then a global provider of hardware, software, services, healthcare, semiconductors and analytical instruments. Throughout her career, Marie has navigated companies through significant geopolitical, technological, regulatory, and public policy changes affecting B2B, B2C, and C2C businesses. She has led organizations through periods of growth and downturns, addressing challenges in crisis management, IP, litigation, data privacy, AI, employment, product liability, consumer safety, cybersecurity, and sustainability.
Marie has extensive governance experience, including board and operating roles at publicly listed companies in the U.S. and Europe, as well as service on private and foundation boards. She has guided boards and CEOs through shareholder activism, succession planning, and board secretary responsibilities.
Since 2019, Marie has served as a director of Portland General Electric (NYSE: POR), where she chairs the Nominating, Governance, and Sustainability Committee and serves on the Compensation Committee. She also serves on the Yale University Council and the Northwestern Law Board. Previously, she served on the Boards of Adevinta (formerly ADEVF), the James Campbell Company LLC and the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, where she chaired the CEO search committee and the Nominating and Governance Committee.
Marie is a Lecturer at Stanford Law School and has taught at Columbia Law School. She has also been a guest speaker at Yale Law School, Harvard Law School, LSE Law School, and Wharton. Her professional recognitions include being named a 2024 Fellow of the American College of Governance Counsel, a 2024 honoree of 100 AAPI Board Members Making a Difference, and recipient of the 2024 DirectWomen Distinguished Alumna Award, Burton Awards Legends in the Law (2019) and as an FT Global General Counsel (2019).
Marie holds a B.A. from Yale University, a J.D. from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, and studied as a General Course student at thes. London School of Economics.
