Naturalization Pro Bono Project

Description:

The Naturalization Pro Bono project supports the Immigration Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA), the largest nonprofit provider of immigration legal services in Northern California. The Naturalization Pro Bono project assists IIBA students who are permanent legal residents with the process of becoming U.S. citizens. Project participants work one-on-one with IIBA students to help them prepare for naturalization interviews. Participants also help IIBA students with their English skills and U.S. civics knowledge.

Commitment Required of Members:

Students must attend an initial training session. Students should then volunteer at the Citizenship Clinic twice per quarter at a minimum. Clinics are offered in-person and virtually each week.
