Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) was established to support all Stanford Law School community members to engage fully, with a recognition that some groups have been historically underrepresented or marginalized in legal education and profession.  DEI works with students, staff, faculty, and the broader Stanford community to remove barriers to belonging.  This includes: working with students to develop programs and policies that ensure meaningful access to educational opportunities for students; working with staff to develop and support inclusive and equitable practices; working with faculty to address classroom or curricular concerns; and working with the broader Stanford community to establish strategic plans to realize the University’s ideals of advancing DEI in support of furthering human welfare in a rapidly changing world. The DEI Office provides training, teaching, coaching, analysis, strategic planning, and resources to support the teaching, research, and service missions of SLS.   We welcome your questions and suggestions!
