Reproductive Justice Pro Bono Project

Description:

The Reproductive Justice Pro Bono Project provides SLS students with opportunities to conduct research supporting reproductive justice organizations and aligned causes across the country. Students work together in small groups that are matched with a partner organization to produce legal memos and case summaries in response to a wide variety of research questions that organizations need answered. This year, the Project will be partnering with Lawyers for Good Governance, WorkLife Law, and the International Action Network for Gender Equality & Law.

Commitment Required of Members:

We are looking for students who can spend approximately 10-20 hours per quarter conducting legal research and writing research memos on reproductive justice issues. Students will also spend 1-2 hours training and meeting with supervising attorneys.

Adv. Degree Student Participation: Permitted

Eligible for Meeting NYS Bar Pro Bono Requirement: Unlikely, But Depends on Specific Projects Assigned by Partner Organizations

Winter Start: Permitted; Fall Start Preferred
