Three Strikes Project Helps Free Non-Violent Prisoners

The California State Supreme Court ruled in October that prisoners serving time under the state’s Three Strikes law can seek a reduction of their sentences. For years, Stanford Law School’s Three Strikes Project, led by Mike Romano, JD ’03,  has been advocating on behalf of these inmates, many serving lengthy sentences for nonviolent crimes, to secure a future outside the criminal justice system.
