Biography
Stephan M. Ray has 40 years of experience representing debtors, trustees, committees, creditors, shareholders, investors and other parties in business restructurings, bankruptcy cases and related litigation throughout the United States.
Mr. Ray teaches Corporate Reorganization as a Lecturer in Law at Stanford Law School (2002, 2007-present). He has also taught business bankruptcy and negotiation courses as a Lecturer at USC Gould School of Law (1989-present). He often lectures at bankruptcy-related professional programs and conferences. Mr. Ray is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy. He is currently of counsel to Owens & Gach Ray in Los Angeles.
Mr. Ray received his B.A. in Economics from UCLA in 1976 and his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1979.
