Articles of Impeachment with David Sklansky
In December, the U.S. House of Representatives passed articles of impeachment of President Donald Trump—focusing on abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
• Only three U.S. presidents have been formally impeached by Congress—Andrew Johnson, Bill Clinton and Donald Trump. So far, no U.S. president has ever been removed from office through impeachment.
• Today we’ll look at the issue through the lens of the prosecutor.
• Did the House make a good case? What’s going on with the stall?
• We’ll also look at procedural questions—“can they do that”
• And we’re very lucky to have a former prosecutor turned legal scholar who is an expert in criminal procedure and evidence.
