The International Legal Technology Association’s “ILTACon 2015″ annual meeting was amazing, and I’m still processing the almost-week-long extravaganza at Vegas’ Caesar’s Palace. There were more than 400 panels, all peer-to-peer created.

Mayes interviewed  Sir Ken Robinson,  author (“The Element” and others)  and speaker, who gave the opening keynote. One of his themes is getting organizations to be more collaboration and the role of automation and innovation. Watch here.

Alex Ponce de Leon, corporate counsel at Google, discusses the need for diversity in legal. Active in the E-Discovery Institute, he argues that it’s crucial to encourage girls at young ages and teach them to take risks. Law firms need to get over the “churn and burn” philosophy, he says. Sally Gonzalez discusses her career as a CIO or consultant for BigLaw firms, including Dentons; Norton Rose Fulbright; and others. “I’ve always thought I was a change agent,” says Gonzalez, who discusses some of the technology challenges of  verein law firms. Watch here.

Microsoft’s Nishan DeSilva addresses workforce transformation and how technology is moving to the cloud. Scott Christensen discusses “The Power of Habit,” by Charles Duhigg.  Christensen, Chicago-based lead consultant at Olenick & Associates, and ILTA past president, discusses how the book is relevant for the legal profession as it faces “rapid change. Watch here.
