News: Riverview, Global 100, Priv-DataSec

Karl Chapman, chief exec of Riverview Law, checks in to announce that Riverview Law has launched a new “prototyping consultancy to help in-house counsel evolve their legal operating mode and develop their own scalable automated process for legal work. It targets large global corporations and mid-sized companies, he notes, and is designed to help them create tech to address their legal needs.

Above The Law’s managing editor David Lat analyzes the latest Global 100 roster from ALM’s The American Lawyer, released yesterday.  Lat concludes that the overall picture is peachy, even though there are some notable malcontents who think otherwise. “Am Law numbers are still, for better or worse, the biggest game in town,” says Lat. Top dog: Latham & Watkins: $2,612,000,000.
