Big Law Diversity & Inclusion Conference

My colleagues at Bloomberg BNA’s Big Law Business put together a terrific program Thursday in New York with four strong panels addressing the very difficult topic of diversity and inclusion.

Big Law Diversity & Inclusion Conference
Kelly Tullier

For those of you in the San Francisco Bay Area, I highly recommend the program, which will be presented Wednesday (Nov. 4)  from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in San Francisco at Bloomberg’s offices at 3 Pier 7 #101. (Free, Lunch is included.)

The NYC event kicked off with a keynote with Kelly Tullier, executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, at Visa Inc. She was interviewed by Ellen Pollock, the editor of Bloomberg Businessweek. Particularly fascinating were Tullier’s stories about being a woman executive in Dubai, where she wore an abaya and learned how to navigate the culture to accomplish her multi-country goals. “In some cultures, I have to shut up and be behind the scenes,” she said.
