Very sad news: The vivacious Deepak Massand, founder and CEO of Litera, passed away in his home in McLeansville, N.C., on December 28. He was a vibrant and enthusiastic member of our legal technology community, and will be so very much missed.

On Above the Law, technology columnist Sean Doherty wrote an inspiring farewell, celebrating Deepak’s creative passion and drive. When he found inefficiencies, he would typically solve the problem and end up with a patent, Doherty explained.
