News and information of probably interest to the CodeX crowd: ILTA hires a new CEO; Synergist.io is near its launch.

• ILTA Hires New CEO: The International Legal Technology Association, has appointed Daniel Liutikas as its Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Randi Mayes, who has retired.

Liutikas served as the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary of CompTIA. “Dan’s deep background in technology and as a practicing lawyer with a law firm and in-house gives him insights from the perspective of our members, and his association leadership provides him experience guiding a group of diverse professionals,” said Meredith Williams, ILTA President in the press release.  “Dan has a strong track-record of innovative thought, program development and driving strategies to benefit members and the industry.”

“The intersection of law and technology is an exciting and rapidly expanding area of intense interest for law firms, in-house legal departments, attorneys, IT and legal operations professionals,” said Liutikas in the press release.

• Synergist.io Status: Edward Taylor (left, front), co-founder and CEO, reports that Synergist.io’s “first public release is almost live.” The company was founded 1.5 years ago. “We’re on a mission to make signing contracts fast and simple by replacing redlinining and back-and-forth emailing with automation,” said Taylor. Keep an eye on it!
