IRIS2017 Special Workshop
I turn the mike to CodeX Executive Director Roland Vogl:

“Our next CodeX meeting is this Thursday (2/23), from 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. (Pacific time), in room N102 of the Neukom building of the Stanford Law School (or via Bluejeans*).
We will video-conference a special workshop from IRIS2017 (the International Legal Informatics Symposium) University of Salzburg, Austria. The session will be chaired by Erich Schweighofer, Professor of Legal Informatics, International Law, and European Law, and Head of the Centre for Computers and Law at the University of Vienna, Austria. Session topics and speakers still to be finalized, but will likely include a discussion of blockchain issues, as well as E-Justice and LegalTech.

The IRIS Conference is known for its interdisciplinary focus and the involvement of government, business, and civil society. The leading topic of IRIS2017 is Trends and Communities of Legal Informatics. After 20 years, the IRIS conference takes stock of fashions and long-term trends: the ways law is changing in a knowledge- and network-based society, and the role of legal informatics in this transformation.”
