“Baby Doe”: Film Screening and Discussion
Come watch “Baby Doe”, a documentary that follows the story of Gail Ritchey, a young woman from a community in rural Ohio, who, thirty years ago, gave birth alone and left her newborn in the woods. Now a mother of three, her quiet suburban life is shattered when DNA evidence links her to the infamous cold case of “Geauga’s Child,” and she is arrested for murder and sentenced to life in prison. After the screening, the filmmaker Jessica Earnshaw and SLS Professor Rabia Belt will participate in a discussion that centers on the legal issues raised in the film.
