You are invited to an evening with celebrated dance company Black Label Movement, led by artistic director and Stanford Law graduate Carl Flink, JD ’01, with an exclusive pre-show gathering for SLS alumni and friends at the “chef’s table” at Erté.

Black Label Movement is one of the Twin Cities’ leading contemporary dance companies. May 10 marks the opening night of its Spring 2019 performance season.

Carl, its artistic director, danced professionally before attending SLS and taught dance at Stanford while studying law. After graduating from SLS, he practiced as a staff attorney for the public interest legal organization Farmers’ Legal Action Group in St. Paul before returning full-time to dance in 2004, when he joined the University of Minnesota’s faculty.

We are thrilled to support Carl, Black Label Movement, and the Minneapolis arts scene with this unique opportunity to enjoy a dynamic performance in the company of SLS alumni. This season marks the 20th anniversary of a piece the company will perform, which Carl developed while at Stanford.

We welcome you and your partner and/or friends to join us for a pre-show bite and refreshments at Erté, just down the block from the theater. Appetizers will be provided courtesy of SLS.

A short Q&A will follow the performance.

Please register by May 3.
