SLS Professor Jay Mitchell, Director of the Organizations and Transactions Clinic and author of Picturing Corporate Practice, shows how to integrate visual thinking into everyday legal analysis, planning, and writing.
The workshop focuses on how visual thinking can help you frame and clarify central issues for your client and legal team. Professor Mitchell introduces the value of drawing pictures to facilitate the thinking and collaboration needed to assess a business situation, launch a project, or create a deliverable. Grounded in research from psychology, cognitive science, engineering, and other disciplines as well as years of experience in practice and business, the workshop offers an introduction to a valuable (and under-appreciated) tool for lawyers, with inspiration from examples in corporate practice.
