Welcome to the SLS Educational Technology Hub (EdTech Hub)!

The EdTech Hub is a resource center for faculty, staff and students at Stanford Law School using academic technology for teaching and learning.

Some of the services that we provide are:

  • Introduce and provide training on new educational technologies
  • Research and recommend best practices for current and emerging technologies
  • Research and recommend tools that complement your teaching style
  • Help you troubleshoot issues and resolve problems

Canvas LMS

Canvas is Stanford University’s Learning Management System. Canvas is an easy to use application, equipped with robust tools to allow instructors to easily communicate and engage with students in and out of the classroom. All law school LAW-designated courses have a course site in Canvas and are automatically published two weeks before the start of the quarter.

Project Sites

Canvas supports and facilitates the creation of project sites. Project sites are non-academic course sites which are not linked to official class rosters. Use project sites for project management, tenure tracking, committee work, etc.

Canvas Mobile

Canvas is available on mobile apps. Visit the App store on your tablet or phone and install the Canvas Teacher App: iOS version and Android version

Need help with Zoom?

Use Zoom to do live lectures for a synchronous experience and engage with your students in real-time, or use Zoom to pre-record your lectures.  Here are some helpful links that will guide you on how best to use Zoom for online teaching:

Digital Reserves is an archive of exams, model answers, and syllabi from previous years. Access is limited to the law school community. Contact the EdTech Hub to add your exams and syllabi.

Stanford Syllabus is Stanford’s online repository for class syllabi. Syllabus you post via the Syllabus tool in Canvas get automatically added to this repository. The Law Library also maintains an online repository of law school course syllabi.
