Name Change Memorandum
To: Readers, Members, and Authors of the Stanford Journal of Law, Economics, & Business
From: The SJLEB Board
Date: December 20, 2024
Subject: Stanford Journal of Law, Business & Finance is now Stanford Journal of Law, Economics & Business
We are excited to announce that, effective this coming volume, our journal will now be publishing under a new name, Stanford Journal of Law, Economics & Business (SJLEB). This represents a shift in our journal’s focus: from a business law journal with an emphasis on scholarship in the domains of business law and finance to an interdisciplinary outlet welcoming to any articles at the intersection of law, economics, and business more generally.
The change was made with three key considerations in mind: (1) greater inclusivity and appeal for works in fields of economics, technology, and emerging areas; (2) greater inclusivity for works with a variety of methodological approaches ––analytical, empirical, theoretical; and (3) more opportunities to grow our journal’s appeal and influence for our readers, authors, and editors alike.
We look forward to contributing to the journal’s continued success as a top destination for legal scholarship in the years to come.
