Biography
Dr. Carneiro, Tayná. — Tayná Carneiro is a Brazilian lawyer, founder of Future Law (Brazil), a platform for legal innovation, and a Stanford CodeX Affiliate. She advises institutions across the financial system on regulation and serves as legal advisor to the Council of Appeals of the National Financial System (CRSFN), Brazil’s administrative appeals body for financial-sector sanctions.
Tayná holds a Ph.D. in Law at the University of São Paulo (USP), a Master’s degree and Bachelor of Laws from Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ), also she spent part of her undergraduate studies at Kobe University in Japan.
Additionally, she serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law and Emerging Technologies (Thomson Reuters). She carries the same agenda into the Brazilian Bar Association: she is Secretary-General of the Banking Law Commission, Vice-President of the Artificial Intelligence Commission, and a member of the Crypto-Assets and Tokenization Commission, at the Rio de Janeiro Section and she sits on the Fiscal Board of AB2L, the Brazilian Association of Lawtechs and Legaltechs.
Tayná maintains an active legal practice and lectures in postgraduate programs at institutions including PUC-SP
(Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo), UNIRIO (Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro), and Ibmec
(Brazilian Institute of Capital Markets). In private practice, she advises a broad range of clients and works in English, Spanish, and French.
