ALM, the organizers of the Legaltech trade shows, has invited CodeX again to present two “Legal Innovation Lightning Round” sessions at Legaltech West Coast, June 13-14, 2016, at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco’s Embarcadero Center. In addition, ALM has generously offered prime exhibitor space in the “CodeX Pavilion” to a group of early stage legal tech companies from the circle of CodeX friends.

The below six companies will have the opportunity to exhibit their products during the show (in the CodeX Pavilion). They will also participate at the CodeX Legal Innovation Lightning Rounds on June 14.  (Session 1 will be held at 10.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.; Session 2 at 1.30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.). The CodeX Pavilion exhibitors and Lightning Round presenters represent a variety of innovative technologies and processes that help legal professionals enhance their work and create better work product for their clients.

Participants include:

• ClearLegal (www.clear.legal) is a platform used by attorneys and their clients to manage and collaborate on legal matters.
• docassemble (docassemble.org) is a free, open-source expert system for guided interviews and document assembly.
• Estate Pass (estatepass.com). Estate Pass provides a digital estate management service that streamlines the secure closure of multiple online accounts.
• LawGeex (www.lawgeex.com) uses the power of the crowd and machine learning technology to provide free contract reviews.
• Legal Sifter (www.legalsifter.com). Legal Sifter features artificial intelligence that extracts terms, conditions, data, and insights, from contracts, forms, and documents.
• Startup Documents (www.startupdocuments.com) generates and stores legal documents for early stage companies.

Oliver Goodenough, Professor and Co-Director of the Center for Legal Innovation, Vermont Law School, will moderate the 10:30 panel, with Judges Nicole Shanahan and Monica Bay (both CodeX Fellows). The second round (1:30 p.m.) flips Shanahan and Goodenough roles. (Watch this space for further announcements.)
