Students for Fair Admissions Policy Lab

Policy Lab 2

In the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in the Students for Fair Admissions case, we launched a Law and Policy Lab at Stanford Law School in Fall 2023 to reconsider the responsibilities of private universities to the American public.

The Lab, whose work continued into Spring 2024, took up the question facing universities across the country after the Court upended nearly a half century of legal and policy precedent: What next? The Lab’s orientation is forward-looking and focused on innovation. Longstanding ideals of reciprocity and service, adapted to new times. New goals. New Ideas. New partnerships.
